The second public talk organised by the Society will take place at 7pm in the Library. We are delighted to announce that Sandra Lefroy will be our speaker.
Now almost unique, the nineteenth-century ‘Phoenix’ is one of the most important historical boats in Ireland. She has been based in Killaloe for much of her life, mostly in the ownership of the Lefroy family. Sandra Lefroy will tell us something of the history of this wonderful craft, and what it is like to live on board a heritage vessel.
Free entry and everyone is welcome. See you there!
Please help us promote this talk by sharing this post, our website, or the Facebook event. Every little helps. Thanks so much!
We are always looking for people to get involved behind the scenes! If this sounds like something that would interest you, come along half an hour earlier at 6.30pm, when we will chat about future plans and projects over a coffee.
