As part of the National Decade of Centenaries commemorations we are holding a series of talks about this turbulent time in our national history, and especially its impact in the Killaloe-Ballina area.

We have enlisted three superb speakers who will share their knowledge on various aspects of the period. Ger Browne on Thursday 22nd September with Stories from The Emergency/WW1 in Co Clare;
Darlene Meskell on Friday 23rd September with the story of John Meskell whose home was burned down by the Auxiliaries in 1920;
and Darren O’Connell on Saturday 24th September on John Charlesworth, a young British soldier, who is buried in St. Flannan’s Cathedral graveyard.
ALL ARE WELCOME AND ITS FREE!

Please forward any additional info on John Charlesworth
The story of John has sincerely touched my heart
Than you for previous communications
