We are delighted to announce December’s lecture will take place on Wednesday evening, 18th December at 7.30pm.
We are ready to share another selection of the oral history recordings made in the 1990’s. Arlene has listened and edited yet again so we can hear interviews with fascinating local people sharing their memories of Killaloe and Ballina in the early years. These include Maureen Scanlan, formally of Abbey House, Killaloe; Tom Cunningham, Killaloe; Mrs. Lizzie Ryan, Killaloe and Tony Quigley, Killaloe.
Come along, sit back and let those wonderful voices wash over you while they describe local places, people and happenings. Arlene will introduce each subject with research of her own to give us background to the interviewee and the recording, we will have a slide show of images to accompany their stories of old.
